A couple traveling across NE stopped at the Platte River Rest area on May 15 & their cat jumped out of their car window & ran into the forest area. She is a 10 month old Russian Blue/gray hair/yellow eyes. She was wearing a purple harness & name tag that says “Synderella” on it. Her microchip # is 990000002871023. I am reaching out to the towns that are nearby in the event this cat makes its way into any of them so residents will be aware that she is missing. Her family is devastated & just wants her home again. They will be searching again this afternoon (5-22) in the area but have to leave again on Friday. Please advise as to who else I might contact regarding this situation. I am the admin. on LINCOLN NEBRASKA LOST DOGS AND CATS & have posted on pet sites here in Lincoln. Lost Pets of Omaha has also been made aware. Thank you for your time! Billie Beattie

Guest Editorial - By John Harrington
Louisville - The Twitter King
For more than 20 years, I have had the pleasure of watching small trends emerge for 16 Communities - from Plattsmouth, to Eagle, to Murray to Louisville. Each Wednesday I notice facts and details - some are flukes, and some develop into trends that become reliable. I am driven mostly by the knowledge that no one else has access to this information, so If I don't track it, who will? and of course, who cares? It is extremely likely that the information means nothing, especially - nothing of any consequence. But, then combined with someone else's information, it might be important!
Twitter is a unique, some would say accidental bit of social media, driven initially by nerds fascinated by cell phones - attached to the internet - and free methods of communicating instantly especially with specific groups of people you choose. These days it is generally not the first choice in Social Media , and in our World Communities like Springfield, and Plattsmouth have been the largest users. About 5 Months Louisville started to grow it's Twitter Base - and as of last week - Louisville became clearly number one.
So, what does that mean?
I have no idea, possibly more young mobile phone owners, but that is probably not the case, but it is not my job to explain the numbers - just capture them and wonder.
Send Me a Note if you have the answer to John@NCWP.org
