The Public Relations and Marketing Manager oversees press and media contacts and relations, and develops and directs marketing campaigns that promote the Sheldon

Museum of Art and its dedicated support group, the Sheldon Art Association (SAA), and their activities. The Sheldon has a renowned collection of American art and is located on the University of Nebraska-Lincoln campus in a masterpiece building designed by Philip Johnson. The museum’s priorities include increasing the regional and national visibility of Sheldon’s collections, special exhibitions, programs, and special events; increasing the number and diversity of visitors to the Museum; and increasing membership in SAA.

The Public Relations and Marketing Manager, working in concert with the Museum’s Civic Engagement Committee, is responsible for identifying and developing new and traditional audiences for the Museum’s programs by effectively promoting Sheldon and SAA activities, strengthening connections with other organizations on campus and in the community, and developing the kinds of promotional materials that can target existing and potential audiences.
