40 Years of Caring

Last Sunday we celebrated the 40th Anniversary of the Louisville Care Community. This amazing beautiful fresh facility is especially unique in that it is owned and operated by the City of Louisville. I had the pleasure of a visit and their hospitality was matched by a beautiful early June Sunday afternoon. The staff was smiling and friendly, and the catering was some of the best and most beautiful I can remember. The Humdingers Country Band played to a nice sized out gathering that was eating, dancing and just generally having a great time. The entire event was so perfectly executed it left an impression of an organization that really cares, and cares about the details. The celebration was a success, the facility is a credit to our City, our leaders and our Community.

Flag Retirement Ceremony

Flag Retirement Ceremony by the American Legion on Flag Day, June 14, 2012, 6:30 PM. Location is 3rd and Walnut St, Louisville. Anyone with a US Flag in poor condition may turn in at the Legion Club or bring to the ceremony. All are invited to attend.

NOTE: The proper disposal method of the US Flag is by ceremonial burning.
