Warrior Dash in Cedar Creek

vvv

The Warrior Dash was held at Cedar Creek's Mad Cow Paintball last weekend.  Over 20,000 people signed up to participate in the Dash.  Over a 2 day period hundreds of people were released at a time to make the run.  The 3.3 mile run included 12 obstacles that had to be overcome to finish.  They included mud, water, hills, barbed wire, fire, and more.

About Mad Cow Paintball

When Did You Open Mad Cow Paintball? "We officially opened in March of 2003, but we had local kids playing here since 2002." - said Bill and Teri Metzger, Owners of Mad Cow Paintball. "The idea of Mad Cow started when we bought our 3 kids paintball markers for Christmas is 2002; they played for a few hours then need to re-fill their air tanks.  After driving to Omaha a few times for air fills, we decided to check into getting a fill system.  Local kids started coming to play with our kids, so we decided to check into insurance.  In the beginning we had 10 rental markers (marker is what we call the gun).  During Summer months we don’t get a day without a group now."

Why is Warrior Dash a good fit for mad Cow Paintball? "Warrior Dash is an extreme running race, Mad Cow is Nebraska’s extreme paintball facility. We also offer extreme terrain that not all of Nebraska has.  We use about 20 acres for paintball, but our family farm is 480+ acres, which attracted Warrior Dash oreganizers to host their event here."
