The course will follow the same route as in recent years, on paved roads between Eagle and Louisville, Nebraska. You can start either in Eagle or Louisville. There will be fixed SAG stations at each start/end point and in Murdock (approximately the half-way point of the full route), and roving SAG vehicles will patrol the route. Mechanical support will be provided by The Bike Rack. The Eagle start will be at Eagle Elementary School, 600 S. 1st Street. The Louisville start location will be at Louisville Public Schools, 202 W. 3rd Street. Registration the day of the ride will begin at 8:30 AM. The ride route is shown below. Community Craft Project
for Thursday, April 4 at 7pm
Louisville Library
Thank you to everyone who came to the craft night in March! It was a lot of
fun and we are looking forward to these monthly events. Just a reminder,
they are going to be held at 7pm on the first Thursday of every month. It is
open to the public and hope to see a lot of people there. All that is required
is that you bring your own supplies for your craft project that you will make.
The craft project for the month of April is making Lanterns from jars. Here
is a link to the website for a photo of the finished project.
http://www.dominicancooking.com/551-cool-lanterns-from-reused-jars.html
The supplies needed are:
Glass Jars (salsa, mason, etc)
Wire hangers
Yarn or twine (may want to coat it with the outdoor modge podge prior to
the craft night so it will be able to be used on the jar that night)
Acid Etching Paste
Foam Brush (to apply the paste)
Stickers or other items to decorate the jars prior to applying the paste
If you have an extra glue gun, scissors or rubber gloves, you could bring
that as well. I will have all of those in case you don’t have any extra.
Hope to see you on April 4th!
Tami Michalski

Louisville Awareness Slogan Contest
Continues till April 15th
Winners to be named by May 1st
Thank you to all who submitted an entry into the Louisville Awareness Slogan Contest. The BUILD committee was overwhelmed by the response. After reviewing the 210 entries and forming a subcommittee to help select a winner, we realized we had failed to provide proper direction.
From the start of this process, we envisioned a new slogan for Louisville that local businesses could use in their advertising to help create greater awareness of the close proximity of the town in relation to the metropolitan areas to the northeast and southwest. Reflecting back to the beginning of the contest and judging by entries received, we don’t believe we made this focus very clear.
We have decided to reopen the contest for new entries that emphasize our location (in proximity to Omaha & Lincoln) and opportunity in Louisville. We’re looking for a slogan that tells everyone where we are and what makes us a unique community. We will accept new slogans through April 15th, 2013. We hope to have a new, flashy slogan and award the winners by May 1st. Please email all slogan entries to Louisvillebuild@gmail.com
All slogan entries received to this point are still in consideration to be chosen and awarded one of the three prizes. We just didn’t feel right about selecting a winner when only 10 – 15% of the entries were focused on the criteria we are looking for. Thank you in advance for your patience and understanding.
Sincerely,
Louisville BUILD
Here are some clarifications on rules:
Question: now with the additional clarification, are previous entrants allowed to re-submit additional suggestion for consideration? Yes
Meaning: participant will have 2 entries under consideration if additional entry has been submitted
Everyone may submit an entry, it does not matter if you have submitted previously or not. Still one prize per person/household.
The committee reserves the right to “modify” or “change” wording if necessary.
