Louisville Public School Foundation & Louisville PTO
Outstanding Teacher & Support Staff Award Nomination
Each year, students, former students, parents of students and school volunteers are eligible to make nominations for the Outstanding Teacher and Outstanding Support Staff awards. This program provides a way to honor the people who make positive difference in the lives of students. Your nominee may be a teacher and/or a member of the support staff (aides, administrators, bus drivers, maintenance, kitchen staff, etc.). One person can nominate multiple teachers and support staffers. The winner is chosen by a selection committee comprised of PTO officers and Foundation board members. Click here to view and print the nomination form. Nominations are due by April 26th, 2013.

a “Snow Removal Thank You Fund”
to show our appreciation for the hard work our city snow removal crew has done for us this past year.
For those of you who would like to donate, you may drop your cash or check off (payable to BUILD) to Andy Mixan at Home State Bank, or Dee Arias, Louisville City Clerk.
This will help towards future meals throughout the year when the guys work through lunches to repair a broken main, etc.
I know you’ll all agree that we are very fortunate to have the best snow removal crew around!
Please show your support and donate!

Louisville Awareness Slogan Contest
Continues till April 15th
Winners to be named by May 1st
Thank you to all who submitted an entry into the Louisville Awareness Slogan Contest. The BUILD committee was overwhelmed by the response. After reviewing the 210 entries and forming a subcommittee to help select a winner, we realized we had failed to provide proper direction.
From the start of this process, we envisioned a new slogan for Louisville that local businesses could use in their advertising to help create greater awareness of the close proximity of the town in relation to the metropolitan areas to the northeast and southwest. Reflecting back to the beginning of the contest and judging by entries received, we don’t believe we made this focus very clear.
We have decided to reopen the contest for new entries that emphasize our location (in proximity to Omaha & Lincoln) and opportunity in Louisville. We’re looking for a slogan that tells everyone where we are and what makes us a unique community. We will accept new slogans through April 15th, 2013. We hope to have a new, flashy slogan and award the winners by May 1st. Please email all slogan entries to Louisvillebuild@gmail.com
All slogan entries received to this point are still in consideration to be chosen and awarded one of the three prizes. We just didn’t feel right about selecting a winner when only 10 – 15% of the entries were focused on the criteria we are looking for. Thank you in advance for your patience and understanding.
Sincerely,
Louisville BUILD
Here are some clarifications on rules:
Question: now with the additional clarification, are previous entrants allowed to re-submit additional suggestion for consideration? Yes
Meaning: participant will have 2 entries under consideration if additional entry has been submitted
Everyone may submit an entry, it does not matter if you have submitted previously or not. Still one prize per person/household.
The committee reserves the right to “modify” or “change” wording if necessary.
