Tai Chi is coming to the Louisville Senior Center.

What is Tai Chi? It is described as a slow movement exercise promoting balance control, flexibility and cardiovascular fitness. It has been shown to reduce the risk of falls in both healthy elderly people and those recovering from chronic stroke, heart failure, high blood pressure, heart attacks, Parkinson's, Alzheimer's and fibromyalgia. Tai Chi's gentle low impact movements burn more calories then many other types of rigorous activities.  Studies have shown this form of exercise can greatly reduce pain and improve overall physical and mental health in people over 60 with severe osterarthritis of the knee. It may also reduce the severity of diabetes. Tai Chi begins Tuesday, April 23rd at 10:30 a.m. and will take place every Tuesday and Thursday. Participants must be at least 60 years old. This is open to the general public at a cost of just $1 per week. It is suggested that you wear comfortable clothing and tennis shoes. The Louisville Senior Center is located at 423 Elm Street. For more information, contact the Senior Center Manager, Evelyn Hans at 402-234-2120.

SHOW TIMES:
Saturday, April 20th 7:30pm
Sunday, April 21st 2pm

If you saw the Buddy Holly tribute, 'Rave On' last year, you know what a talent Billy McGuigan is!  Come see he and his brothers (Matthew and Ryan) in the Beatles Experience, 'Yesterday & Today.'  Each show is unique because the play list is dictated by YOU!

Requests are taken from the audience so each performance is fresh and fun.  Billy assures us that his group knows the ENTIRE 225 songs in the Beatles catalog.  They have laid down a challenge to the Lofte audience to try and stump them!

Good seats still available for both the Saturday evening and Sunday afternoon show.  Family friendly and lots of fun.  Tickets are $30 and can be purchased by calling 402.234.2553 or clicking on the following link.
