'Nunset Boulevard' Opens at Lofte Community Theatre
Manley, NE [September 27, 2013] - The Lofte Community Theatre in Manley opens the wacky musical-comedy 'Nunset Boulevard' on Saturday, October 12. 'Nunset' is the sixth installment of the popular series chronicling the antics little sisters of Hoboken. This time they have been invited to perform at the Hollywood Bowl. However, upon their arrival, they discover that it's actually the Hollywood Bowl-A-Rama and Cabaret Lounge. When they find there is a screen test going on across the street, they think stardom is just a few steps away! This is a fun family-friendly evening filled with lighthearted comedy and fantastic vocals.
Directed by Kevin Colbert, the play stars the operatically trained Janet Sorensen of Elmwood as Reverend Mother. Her second in command, Sister Mary Hubert is played by Betty Colbert. Anna Stroebel of Papillion, Charity Baker of Elmwood and Samantha colbert and Alyssa DiPaolo both of Lincoln fill out the ranks.
The production opens October 12 and runs October 13, 18-20 and 24-27. Tickets are $17. Reservations can be made by calling the Lofte box office at 402.234.2553 or visiting the Lofte website at Lofte.com.

Back By Popular Demand!
Back by popular demand is The Plattsmouth Conservancy Haunted Victorian Ghost Walk!
The Ghost Walk will take place on the evenings of
Friday, October 11th and
Saturday, October 12th
from 7:30 – 10:00 p.m.
You will have the opportunity to follow the night watchman’s lantern through the enchanted hills of Plattsmouth where they will step inside four historic Plattsmouth homes and experience haunted tales of current and days gone by. You will also make stops during your walk and listen to stories of ghost hauntings in the local Plattsmouth area.
This is not your traditional “haunted house” event. We promise that no skeletons will pop out at you or giant spiders drop down on you (or at least that I know of). But perhaps you will catch a glimpse of a ghostly spirit who chooses to make their presence known at this time of year when the veil between our world and the spirit world is most easily penetrated.
This is a walking tour so appropriate dress and walking shoes are recommended. There is a total of twelve blocks between the four houses with stops at each house where guests will be seated to listen to a haunted tale.
