Raising Funds at Louisville Church

On Sunday June 8 the youth of Louisville First United Methodist got to hit Pastor Bob Wynn in the face with cream pies. This was because they met their goal of raising money for the UMC Nickels for Nigeria program.
The UMC partners with Nigeria in raising money for food, clothing and other basic necessities in Nigeria. The kids were challenged to fill a coffee can with nickels in 4 weeks. If they did it they could hit me with cream pies. They did it with ease and on the 8th I took my punishment.
Blessings
Pastor Bob Wynn

LIONS CLUB GOLF TOURNAMENT
The 14th annual Murray-Beaver Lake Lions Club Golf Fundraiser Tournament will be held Saturday, June 14, 2014 at Lakeridge Golf Course, Beaver Lake, NE. This fundraiser helps the Lions Club provide services to the Murray-Beaver Lake community in many ways.
The Lions Club helps provide support for those needing eyeglasses, hearing aids, and other essentials for a good quality of life. The club also provides assistance to Conestoga students for school activities and the pursuit of excellence.
The 2012 tournament enabled the Lions to contribute to the development of Cougar Hollow at the elementary school and 2013's tournament went toward scholarships to graduating Conestoga students. Scholarships were also granted to two seniors this year from the Lions.
Please try to get a team together for this tournament. It's for a good cause!
Remember that the Lions is a service organization and we are always looking for new members who would like to help their community.
THANKS FOR YOUR SUPPORT!
