The Sarpy/Cass Health Department has partnered with the City of Louisville
to distribute free radon gas testing kits to the Louisville community.
Please stop by the city office during normal business hours
to pick up your free testing kit.

Memories of the Video Hut
Jim Hrabik exams the latest movies for Louisville
I had the good fortune to meet Ben Barenz and we had the chance to visit about his facility on Main Street.
Ben Emailed me: "John,The building on Main Street was owned by my wife's grandfather, Jim Hrabik.
For years and he ran the Video Hut. He closed that around 2012 and rented it to Pazza Bella Salon.
Jim Hrabik passed away on Christmas 2014
My wife Molly and I purchased the building at the end of June 2016, the
salon was planning to move so we took the opportunity to go through the building and renovate."
I learned Ben is an engineer and has security in the building. He was generous to allow us to access his webcam which
provided the world a view of Main Street during the recent Last Hot Sunday in July Event

The Bards of Brainerd
On Saturday, July 23, the Lofte participated in the Nebraska Association of
Community Theatres Festival in Minden, NE. The association
holds a biennial play competition and 2016 saw the Lofte
walking away with the top prize!
The Lofte cast and crew not only won Outstanding Production,
but Doug Rothgeb won Supporting Actor. Silvia Conley won Supporting Actress
and Nick Haussler won Outstanding Set Design.
The play, "Shakespeare's a D*ck," is a competition piece written
by Mark Kenneally. The comedy is the story of red-neck named
Wally who curses the name of Shakespeare and opts
to attend a monster truck rally instead of "As You Like It."
Wally soon feels the wrath of the Bard as he wakes the
next morning finding he can only speak in Shakespearian verse!
Congratulations to the cast, crew and Director Allison Bauers!
