Road Closures

Fairview Road at US-75/Fairview Road interchange beginning Tuesday, March 28 will have a 30-day closure. This closure is necessary to reconstruct Fairview Road east of the interchange, according to the Nebraska Department of Roads.

The Louisville Fire Department received information that HWY 66 between 42nd and 48th street both east and west bound lanes are CLOSED for repair. Unknown duration possibly a week.

National Volunteer Month

LINCOLN, Neb. (March 20, 2017) – The American Red Cross encourages eligible donors togive blood during National Volunteer Month this April. Donating blood is a simple way to make aprofound difference in the lives of patients.Nearly 2.8 million generous people donated blood through the Red Cross last year. The RedCross salutes these volunteer blood donors who helped fulfill its lifesaving mission and invitesothers to roll up a sleeve and join them.Bill Parr has been donating blood for more than 30 years. “I think it’s one of the most rewardingthings you can do, knowing that such a simple act can have such a positive impact on anotherhuman being in a time of need,” he said.Volunteer donors are the only source of blood products for those in need of transfusions.Donors of all blood types are needed this spring.Make an appointment to donate blood by downloading the free Red Cross Blood Donor App,visiting redcrossblood.org or calling 1-800- RED CROSS (1-800- 733-2767).

Nebraska Craft Beer Added to the 4th Annual Wine Festival Sip Nebraska

Additional entertainment is set for Sip Nebraska at Eugene T. Mahoney State Park May 5-6, 2017. Guests are invited to take part in tastings of Nebraska wines, hard ciders and NEW this year Nebraska craft beer, while enjoying local bands, shop at over 20+ artisan and food vendors, dabble in wine glass painting, kick up their heels for salsa and line dancing lessons, take in an education wine session or yoga class … all activities included in the ticket price!
