On Friday Night Louisville played Conestoga for their first football game of the season. The theme of the game was #BeKind with students and parents supporting t-shirts. Captains from the two teams placed Be Kind stickers on the back of their helmets before the game began. Louisville beat Conestoga 40-7!

Last Wednesday the First United Methodist Church of Louisville held a back to school kick of bash. They served hot-dogs, chips, fruit snacks along with drinks. They had games for children to play including a duck pond, ring toss, story time and a spinning wheel. Each child received a bad with school supplies inside!

On Tuesday August 14th, the students of Louisville Elementary helped to make it official. After 3 years of fundraising and planning, the playground renovation is completed. “Majestic”, “Amazing”, “This is awesome!”, “This playground has everything for every type of student,” along with “This is the best playground I have seen” are all words and phrases that have described our new playground in the last week. Although the old playground provided memories for past students, we know this new playground will provide special memories for our current and future students. For three years, the playground project has been a real team effort. There are many people we need to recognize and we apologize for any oversight: Thank you to:

• • Mr. Farber, Superintendent of Schools and the Board of Education
• • The Playground Planning Committee
• • To all the business donors in Louisville
• • Ash Grove who donated $35,000 to the total project and helped with the cost of the concrete.
• • Roloff Construction who donated time and equipment to prepare the playground jobsite
• • Donors from the Community, every individual and family.
• • Teachers who made personal donations, also all teachers who helped organize and make the Fun Day Silent Auction possible.
• • The Louisville Education Association
• • Parents who made monetary donations or donations to and bid on items at our Silent Auctions. Over 3 years the Silent Auction generated $11,000.00
• • Students who donated birthday money, equipment and revenue from fundraisers
• • Everyone who bought banners - we are amazed to see banners stretch nearly the entire length of the east fence
• • Eric Crouch and Crouch Recreation for hours of meeting and planning to design the best playspace for our students
• • Dostal Construction, for their time and attention to detail in
• • installing the playground
• • Louisville Schools Foundation, Jessica Nolte and Valerie Downs for helping to manage the finances
• • Ann Kavanaugh, for all the hours and personal commitment towards the project.
• • We have asked a lot of our community over the past 3 years. Thank you for continuing to believe in and support this vision and dream.
• • Mr. Holl - Thank you for having a vision for the play space, for sharing the vision and giving many hours of personal time and commitment to the project. Thank you for your constant dedication to the students and families of Louisville.

Louisville Athletic Booster Membership Drive

Help the Louisville Althetic Booster Club get a great start to the 2018-2019 school year!

 The Booster Club Membership Drive has started for the 2018-2019 school year. The Boosters Club helps student athletes in athletics, dance and cheer.
